The Business Intelligence Developer IV provides end-to-end reporting and analytical services to internal business partners and leadership within the Sutter Health System Office. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing integrated solutions including databases, data warehouses, data marts, interfaces, custom programming, and complex reports. The developer translates business requirements into technical solutions while managing projects from concept to implementation. Key technologies include SQL Server, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and Visio. Required skills encompass advanced SQL, ETL processes, dimensional modeling, and logical and physical data modeling. The role addresses the specific challenges of healthcare information systems, including coding, billing, reimbursement, and finance data. The candidate will manage large datasets to create dashboards and scorecards while providing technical expertise in architecture and business process improvements for various functional areas within a healthcare environment.
Provide end-to-end reporting and analytical services to internal business partners and leadership.
Design, develop, and implement Business Intelligence solutions including dashboards, scorecards, and complex reports.
Architect and manage data infrastructure including databases, data warehouses, and data marts.
Translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions and management presentations.
Perform advanced SQL coding and ETL processes to transform raw data into finished products.
Evaluate and assess technical applications for potential acquisition and organizational fit.
Lead the implementation of integrated data and business process improvement solutions.
Manage multiple, simultaneous projects while providing training and coaching to team members.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics, Computer Analytics, Computer, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience is accepted.
8 years of recent relevant experience are required.
At least 6 years of experience developing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions including reports, metrics, dashboards, and scorecards is required.
Advanced skills in SQL, ETL, database architecture, and working with large datasets are required.
Experience with healthcare data (Finance, HR, or Clinical) and knowledge of healthcare operations is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, and Visio is preferred.
Expertise in data management principles including logical/physical modeling, dimensional modeling, and SQL Server Reporting Services is required.
Demonstrated leadership skills to train colleagues, manage complex projects, and communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders are required.
