Technical Services Engineer The Technical Services Engineer joins the Infrastructure team to provide expert guidance and problem-solving for customers managing mission-critical deployments at scale. What you'll do

Advise customers on architecture, performance, recovery, and security for mission-critical MongoDB deployments.
Resolve complex technical issues for large customers regarding database scaling and optimization.
Develop internal software tools for performance benchmarking, diagnostics, and automated troubleshooting.
Create knowledge base articles and documentation to improve team and customer efficiency.
Deliver training sessions and workshops to share technical expertise with peers and customers.
Advocate for customer needs by collaborating with product management and development teams.
Build and maintain automation tools for AI-assisted diagnostics and performance analysis.
Explore and teach new product capabilities across the MongoDB ecosystem.

What we're looking for

You must have at least 5 years of proven experience in a technical field.
Experience in systems engineering including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, and networking is required.
Candidates should understand core Kubernetes concepts such as containers, namespaces, and multi-cluster deployments.
A solid understanding of networking protocols like DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS is required.
Experience in storage engineering including NAS, SAN, SSD, and caching is preferred.
Ability to read code and perform basic coding or scripting in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
Experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems is required.
Candidates must possess the ability to learn new technical skills rapidly and solve problems under pressure.
