Technical Services Engineer As part of the Technical Services team, you will provide expert guidance and resolve complex technical challenges for customers using MongoDB Core, drivers, Atlas, Cloud Manager, cloud platforms, and infrastructure. You will manage investigations from diagnosis to resolution regarding architecture, performance, recovery, and security while building tools, documentation, and training materials. You must possess a strong understanding of protocols like DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS, along with the ability to read code and write scripts in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C++, or Ruby. What you'll do

Resolve complex customer challenges regarding architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
Lead technical investigations from initial diagnosis through to final resolution.
Provide customers with clear, actionable guidance for running critical workloads.
Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to advocate for customer needs.
Create tools, documentation, and training materials to improve internal processes.
Mentor peers and promote technical excellence within the engineering team.
Manage technical escalations independently while providing advanced diagnostics for colleagues.

What we're looking for

5–6 years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, database administration, SRE, or a related field.
Experience running complex, mission-critical production database systems.
Strong Linux and systems engineering skills including performance, memory, I/O, storage, networking, security, and clustering.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS.
Ability to read code and write basic scripts in languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C++, or Ruby.
Experience analyzing issues across application, database, operating system, storage, and infrastructure layers.
Excellent customer communication, prioritization, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
