What you'll do

Resolve complex customer issues regarding architecture, performance, recovery, and security across the MongoDB ecosystem.
Provide expert technical advice on running MongoDB at scale for large enterprise customers.
Advocate for customer needs by collaborating with product management and development teams.
Develop internal software tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.
Mentor and onboard new team members to ensure successful integration into the department.
Proactively build internal knowledge of new product lines within the MongoDB ecosystem.
Troubleshoot issues holistically from the application tier through the database down to storage.

What we're looking for

Must be a US Citizen.
Experience in systems engineering including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, and networking.
Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS.
Experience in storage engineering including NAS, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, and caching.
Experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems.
Ability to read code and basic coding or scripting skills in languages like Python, Java, Go, or others.
Ability to analyze issues holistically from the application tier through the database down to storage.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while solving problems in real-time.
