What you'll do

Monitor and detect emerging customer-facing incidents on the Atlas platform to ensure uptime guarantees.
Diagnose live incidents and differentiate between platform issues and customer usage problems.
Automate routine monitoring and troubleshooting tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Perform server administration duties including performance troubleshooting and reviewing system logs.
Create and monitor systems alert dashboards for proactive incident detection.
Design and deploy systems specifically aimed at reducing Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to handle short-term customer incidents.
Identify areas for improvement in management applications by collaborating with product and engineering teams.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
At least 2 years of experience as an on-call DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer.
Expertise in Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience in monitoring, system performance data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Expertise with networking technologies such as DNS and TCP/IP.
Knowledge of database operations and concepts.
Familiarity with AWS and other cloud infrastructure platforms like GCP or Azure.
Ability to write programs or scripts in Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
A CS/CE degree or equivalent experience.
