Technical Service & Development Scientist, Formulation

What you'll do

• Lead technical customer engagements to translate market needs into specific performance requirements.
• Develop and customize liquid and semi-solid formulations for medical device applications.
• Perform hands-on formulation, application testing, validation, and troubleshooting in a laboratory setting.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate results to various stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy.
• Support technology transfer to ensure scalable and reproducible manufacturing processes.
• Design and execute lab experiments using structured processes like Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Analyze experimental data to refine formulations and achieve desired physical properties.

What we're looking for

• Degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Deep understanding of formulation/mixing principles including colloid science, polymer science, rheology, and viscosity control.
• 5+ years of experience in medical device class or cosmetic topical skin treatment applications.
• Expertise in formulating silicone-based and organic-based systems with knowledge of excipient suppliers.
• Ability to design and execute lab experiments using structured processes like DoE.
• Strong writing and presentation skills in both English and French.
• Analytical expertise in techniques to interpret composition, stability, and degradation.
• Experience with in-vitro and in-vivo sensory evaluations.
