Systems Structure Design Engineer, 5G Interface Call Processing

What you'll do

• Convert customer requirements into detailed system requirements and design specifications for the development team.
• Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G Wireless Call Protocols and troubleshoot related technical issues.
• Conduct product and feature performance analysis and evaluate new software releases.
• Provide expert technical support during the pre-sales process to create commercial solutions.
• Translate complex technical design considerations between the sales team and carrier network businesses.
• Educate customers on new products and services through individual and team presentations.
• Lead and mentor the team as a systems architect to ensure successful new product roll-outs.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE/CS is required.
• Advanced degree is beneficial (preferred).
• Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in wireless is required.
• Must have understanding of 5G concepts including Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, and LTE-NR interworking.
• Experience with 3GPP Rel-16/17 features is required.
• Strong knowledge of 5G and 4G air interface, call processing technologies, and Radio Access Network architecture is required.
• Good understanding of Wireless systems with emphasis on PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers is required.
• Experience with protocol analyzers and test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, and Spectrum Analyzers is required.
