Cellular 4G/5G System Performance Engineer

What you'll do

• Design performance verification lab use cases and test cases to identify potential UE performance issues.
• Develop test scripts over lab network emulators to implement performance test cases or reproduce issues.
• Troubleshoot performance-related issues in coordination with system engineers, firmware developers, and integration teams.
• Guide test executors in performing validation of new and existing cellular features.
• Analyze and debug cellular device performance issues to work with firmware and systems design teams on resolutions.
• Verify that overall UE performance meets expectations through rigorous testing and analysis.

What we're looking for

• Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of 4G/5G physical layer, protocol stack, and procedures.
• Knowledge of 4G/5G development, system engineering, and device performance verification.
• Knowledge of investigating and troubleshooting cellular device performance issues.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and core computer science fundamentals.
• Ability to script or program in languages such as Python, C/C++.
• Experience and knowledge of multiple 4G/5G signaling and physical layer test equipment (Keysight/Anritsu/R&S) along with their automation interfaces.
• Master's or PhD degree in wireless communication or electrical engineering (preferred).
