What you'll do

Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned parts and systems to resolve manufacturing and quality challenges at supplier sites.
Lead containment activities and drive root cause investigations to mitigate risks to build and launch schedules.
Resolve critical path component issues at suppliers to ensure zero disruption to production timelines.
Collaborate with engineering teams to create, manage, and disposition issue tickets for rework or repair.
Partner with procurement to identify, vet, and onboard high-quality suppliers capable of meeting aggressive production speeds.
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure parts are manufacturable during the early stages of development.
Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for new parts or when transitioning components to new suppliers.
Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to stabilize supply and reduce inspection oversight.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
3+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products in a production environment.
Experience with machining, fabrication, and vendor design-engineered systems like pumps, valves, and actuators.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and models using GD&T.
Working knowledge of supplier quality processes including PPAP, APQP, and FAIR.
Knowledge of statistical techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Design of Experiments.
Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP) and manufacturing operation systems (MRP/ERP).
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations.
