What you'll do

Serve as the primary technical point of contact to resolve manufacturing and quality issues at supplier sites.
Perform root cause analysis on parts and implement engineering changes to improve manufacturability, cost, and lead times.
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure components are producible before they enter the sourcing phase.
Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by selecting manufacturing methods and establishing reliable production ramps.
Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure stable supply and reduce inspection oversight.
Partner with procurement to vet and select suppliers capable of meeting aggressive production takt times.
Lead containment activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve high-impact supply chain risks.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
At least 1 year of experience with manufacturing or inspection of mechanical products in a production environment.
Experience with machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and cutting of materials.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and apply GD&T principles.
Knowledge of supplier quality processes including PPAP, APQP, and First Article Inspection Reports.
Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP) and MRP/ERP systems.
Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and 3D modeling/CAD software.
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations.
