What you'll do

  • Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in Starlink satellite systems.
  • Define technical and quality requirements for suppliers during both new product introduction and production phases.
  • Lead root cause analysis to resolve supplier quality issues as a liaison between engineering and purchasing.
  • Implement and monitor the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with selected suppliers to enable production.
  • Analyze supplier performance metrics to identify trends and develop improvement plans for systemic gaps.
  • Conduct research to identify new suppliers and manufacturing capabilities in metrology and other processes.
  • Drive product and process improvements to lower costs, reduce supply risk, and improve cycle times.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, or design engineering.
  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain is preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC, injection molding, or castings.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) principles and applications.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques like Six Sigma or design of experiments.
  • Knowledge of metrology tools, lean manufacturing, and supply chain concepts.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations.
