What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end supplier development for silicon, wafer, and packaging portfolios from selection through high-volume production.
  • Engage early with suppliers on equipment selection and process engineering to ensure material and process corners are fully characterized.
  • Provide technical guidance on front-end process nodes and back-end packaging technologies like flip-chip and 3D integration.
  • Assess supplier manufacturing capabilities including wafer fabrication capacity, process stability, yield learning, and overall technical readiness.
  • Lead new product introduction activities, production part approvals, and reliability campaigns to enable high-volume manufacturing.
  • Develop and standardize qualification protocols for wafer-level reliability, package qualification, and full silicon test coverage.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements using Lean methodologies, scorecards, and process audits to improve quality and yield.
  • Perform reactive quality engineering including root cause analysis and corrective actions for field returns and production issues.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, materials science, semiconductor physics, or another engineering discipline.
  • At least 1 year of industry experience in silicon engineering including front-end wafer fabrication, back-end packaging and assembly, or silicon test.
  • Experience with advanced packaging technologies such as flip-chip, wafer-level packaging, fan-out, and system-in-package solutions.
  • Expertise in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing processes including capacity analysis, process window validation, and yield ramp.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems and standards such as JEDEC, AEC-Q100, and AS9100.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis using structured methods like Six Sigma, Minitab, or Design of Experiments.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, protected refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR export control requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and work onsite in Bastrop, TX.
