The role requires expertise in Unix/Linux OS internals, networking protocols, VMs, and Containers to solve challenging distributed computing problems. You will optimize code, execute load tests, and ensure proper metrics instrumentation to support 24x7 payment systems, ensuring reliability and performance for global commerce transactions.

What you'll do

Design and implement scalable, low-latency, and highly-available payment processing systems.
Develop and execute load tests to stress-test critical payment applications using tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
Create application and infrastructure performance models to ensure high-throughput system reliability.
Implement metrics instrumentation in software components to facilitate real-time troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
Write, document, and maintain high-quality code in Java or Python following security best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs within established service level agreements.
Automate monitoring, deployment, and incident response workflows to improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate continuous integration activities and testing automation frameworks for core product code.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of experience.
Must be proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Python.
Must have expert knowledge and strong experience using tools like LoadRunner and Jmeter.
Must be proficient in performance testing tools and APM/Observability solutions like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, OPNET, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Must have hands-on experience in Unix/Linux OS environments, including file systems, disk/storage, and networking protocols.
Must have working knowledge of VMs and Containers.
Must have worked in an agile and scrum environment.
Must have excellent communication skills.
