(Sr) Staff SOC Architect - AI Accelerators joins the ASICS Engineering group to define and deliver next-generation AI datacenter products. This role involves driving architecture and feature definition for key server technologies, specifically focusing on Security, Reliability/Availability/Serviceability (RAS), and Virtualization. The architect will collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and systems teams to develop scalable solutions for AI server and rack deployments. Key responsibilities include designing SOC architectures for error detection, recovery, telemetry, and multi-tenant resource partitioning. The position requires deep expertise in server SoC design, confidential computing, and trusted execution technologies. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in PCIe protocols including SRIOV, SIOV, IDE, and TDISP, as well as Ethernet protocols with an emphasis on error recovery and virtualization within datacenter environments.
Define RAS architecture for server SoCs, including error detection, recovery, and telemetry mechanisms.
Design virtualization architectures to support multi-tenant AI infrastructure and workload isolation.
Develop security architectures for next-generation server SoCs, including confidential computing and trusted execution.
Work with customers and ODMs to determine hardware and software requirements for AI server deployments.
Analyze current AI server deployments to architect enhancements for next-generation products.
Drive implementation of scalable solutions for secure and efficient utilization of datacenter resources.
Collaborate with firmware and software teams on fault management and recovery strategies.
Evaluate industry virtualization technologies and emerging security threats to develop architectural mitigations.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in HW Design, testing, and commercialization.
3+ years of experience working in datacenter related products such as servers or accelerators.
In-depth knowledge of datacenter security, RAS, virtualization, telemetry, power, cooling, lifecycle, and deployments.
Good knowledge of scale-up and scale-out architectures.
