PCBA Manufacturing Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop test strategies and optimize test setups at contract manufacturing sites.
• Design, specify, and qualify test fixtures, equipment, and diagnostic software.
• Resolve manufacturing challenges by ensuring compliance with DFM and DFT principles.
• Perform root-cause failure analysis and debug PCBA issues at manufacturing sites.
• Analyze process metrics to predict and eliminate production failures.
• Provide feedback on test coverage and fault isolation for continuous improvement.
• Manage configuration control and changes throughout the manufacturing process.
• Train operators on test processes and support recurring certification programs.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with hardware lab equipment including digital scopes, logic analyzers, and soldering tools.
• Experience with Linux/RHEL, Ubuntu/Solaris, or programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or PowerShell.
• 3+ years of experience designing and building test fixtures and complex systems like RF Functional Tests and ICT fixtures.
• 3+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems.
• Experience with space hardware test processes such as GEVS or SMC-S-016.
• Knowledge of test automation tools including NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and Python.
