Sr Manager, Digital Design and Signal Processing (Electronic Warfare) serves as a key technical and organizational leader within the Digital Design and Signal Processing organization. This role manages a large team of engineers and sub-managers to oversee Electronic Warfare technologies through the full development lifecycle, from concept to system integration and test. Responsibilities include guiding technical direction, managing staffing and career development, overseeing requirements decomposition for FPGA and HDL solutions, and supporting bid and proposal efforts. The position requires expertise in implementing transmitter/receiver algorithms using FPGA, ASIC, and DSP devices. Candidates must possess skills in VHDL, C, C++, and Matlab while navigating complex multi-FPGA systems. The role addresses the technical challenges of developing Electronic Warfare and Electronic Attack systems within a secure development environment involving classified programs and high-quality technical artifacts like interface control documents.
Manage a large team of engineers and sub-managers to deliver Electronic Warfare technologies from concept through system integration.
Provide technical leadership across the full development cycle, including architecture, requirements analysis, design synthesis, and verification.
Oversee requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification planning for FPGA and HDL solutions.
Lead staffing decisions, talent forecasting, mentoring, and performance reviews to build a high-performing engineering organization.
Support bid and proposal efforts by developing technical volumes, basis of estimates, and participating in customer demonstrations.
Drive technical risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution across development and production efforts.
Ensure the creation of high-quality technical artifacts including specifications, interface control documents, and test plans.
Establish and enforce disciplined software and HDL engineering processes to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline with at least 12 years of experience.
Graduate Degree with at least 10 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
Minimum of 3 years of technical leadership, functional leadership, or engineering management experience on complex defense or aerospace programs (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years experience developing Electronic Sensing/Attack, Wireless Communications, or DSP related systems (preferred).
Experience with risk management, earned value or schedule-driven execution, and cross-team coordination (preferred).
Experience in secure development environments, classified program execution, and technical writing for new business pursuits (preferred).
