The Sr. Lab Buildout and Operations Manager, Integration & Test, Amazon Leo owns the deployment, readiness, and sustained operation of RF, networking, and system-integration lab environments across Austin and Seattle. The position requires expertise in RF test environments, networking fundamentals, and asset lifecycle tracking to support integration, regression, and multi-device validation for satellite communications and wireless systems.
Own end-to-end lab buildout execution for RF and system-integration environments across Austin and Seattle.
Coordinate the deployment of racks, RF infrastructure, test equipment, cabling, power, grounding, and cooling.
Support RF lab environments including chambers, antennas, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and timing sources.
Manage lab network design and operations including VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall access.
Translate technical requirements into Bills of Materials (BOMs), purchase requests, and vendor delivery schedules.
Manage vendor coordination for chamber deployment, electrical work, cooling, and equipment calibration.
Maintain asset inventory, lifecycle tracking, and standardized documentation like rack elevations and runbooks.
Travel to Austin and Seattle to lead on-site execution for lab moves and infrastructure deployment.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
7+ years of experience in lab operations, hardware development management, systems development, RF test, network operations, or infrastructure deployment.
Experience with project management of technical projects.
Experience building, operating, or maintaining engineering labs, RF labs, network labs, telecom labs, or hardware-in-the-loop environments.
Working knowledge of RF test environments, including chambers, antennas, RF cabling, attenuators, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, or channel emulators.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including switching, routing, VLANs, IP addressing, firewall rules, remote access, and lab network segmentation.
