Sr. Global Supply Manager, Datacenter Memory and Storage (Starlink) is a senior-level role focused on owning end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier management, and delivery of advanced datacenter memory and storage solutions. Working within the SpaceXAI team, you will partner with silicon architects and engineers to define commodity strategies, build multi-year technology roadmaps, and maintain approved vendor lists for HBM, DDR5, server DRAM, and enterprise SSDs. You will be responsible for orchestrating demand forecasting, negotiating high-value agreements for competitive pricing, managing inventory across the supply chain, and performing should-cost analysis to drive cost reductions. The role requires deep technical knowledge of memory architectures like NVMe and LPDDR while navigating a volatile, supply-constrained market. You will manage complex supplier relationships and capacity planning to support rapid build speeds for high-growth AI infrastructure programs.
Define commodity strategies and multi-year technology roadmaps for HBM, DDR5, and enterprise storage solutions.
Manage the approved vendor list and oversee supplier qualification and performance management.
Orchestrate demand forecasting and allocation across multiple internal programs to ensure balanced supply.
Negotiate high-value agreements focused on competitive pricing, volume commitments, and preferential allocation.
Execute multi-sourcing strategies to reduce lead times and secure supply during periods of scarcity.
Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to protect production schedules.
Drive cost reductions through should-cost analysis, long-term agreements, and value engineering.
Track and report key performance indicators regarding cost, quality, delivery, and supply chain resilience.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in business, supply chain, or engineering; or 12+ years of experience in those fields without a degree.
At least 7 years of experience in global supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or commodity management for semiconductors, memory, storage, or datacenter infrastructure.
Technical expertise in datacenter memory architectures (HBM, DDR5) and enterprise storage solutions like SSDs and NVMe.
Experience in high-growth technology or hyperscale environments with responsibility for large-scale memory and storage sourcing.
Proven success negotiating complex, high-value supplier relationships in volatile and supply-constrained markets.
Proficiency in financial modeling, project management, and cross-functional leadership.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support supplier relationships.
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
