You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve material issues and align future designs with supplier technology roadmaps. The role requires expertise in custom silicon, OSAT manufacturing, and global commodity markets. Key skills include managing new product introduction processes, navigating foundry service vendor relationships, and utilizing ERP systems to ensure a robust supply chain for satellite components.

What you'll do

  • Formulate strategic sourcing plans to identify new suppliers and optimize cost structures based on market trends.
  • Manage the supplier base by implementing stratification models and executing documented management playbooks.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on technical capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
  • Negotiate complex contracts involving pricing, technical requirements, liability, and export compliance.
  • Execute purchase orders for passive, active, and electro-mechanical components using material requirements planning (MRP).
  • Develop supplier scorecards to measure performance against key indicators and report findings to leadership.
  • Drive the qualification of alternate materials and suppliers through coordination with engineering and quality teams.
  • Monitor commodity market trends to maintain strategic partnerships with major component distributors and manufacturers.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in supply chain, production, or engineering; advanced degree and 4+ years; or 10+ years experience without a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR export control requirements.
  • Experience in procurement for Custom Silicon and OSAT (Outsource and Semiconductor Assembly and Test) sourcing (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Silicon Foundry and OSAT manufacturing supply chain, global commodity markets, and pricing trends (preferred).
  • Experience managing product development (EVT), new product introduction (NPI), and mass production (MP) processes (preferred).
  • Technical knowledge in commodities such as OSAT manufacturing and processes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions (preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and work onsite, including extended hours or weekends as needed.
