TL;DR · Global Supply Manager, Datacenter Cooling Equipment

As the Global Supply Manager, Datacenter Cooling Equipment (Starlink), you will join the team responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing strategy and supplier management for datacenter cooling infrastructure supporting hyperscale AI clusters. You will be responsible for procuring mechanical cooling systems including dry coolers, chillers, pumps, CDUs, as well as auxiliary piping, valves, controls, instrumentation, and chemicals. Your daily work involves partnering with engineers to define multi-year roadmaps, negotiating transformative commercial agreements, and deploying predictive analytics and AI-driven demand forecasting tools. You will manage a hybrid supply base of OEMs and component providers while driving innovation in liquid cooling architectures and high-density thermal management. The role addresses the critical technical challenge of ensuring maximum uptime and energy efficiency for power-dense training clusters by securing reliable, high-performance cooling components at extreme scale and velocity.

What you'll do

  • Define multi-year technology roadmaps and approved vendor lists for mechanical cooling systems and related infrastructure components.
  • Manage end-to-end global sourcing, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation for datacenter cooling equipment and consumables.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements covering pricing, volume, manufacturing capacity, and long-term supply programs.
  • Implement predictive analytics and AI-driven tools to forecast demand and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Drive cost leadership through should-cost modeling, value engineering, and specification optimization of cooling assemblies.
  • Lead supplier innovation programs to develop custom high-efficiency designs and next-generation cooling technologies.
  • Standardize and automate procurement processes, inventory management, and installation support for rapid deployment.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives including responsible sourcing and the adoption of low-global-warming-potential cooling technologies.

What we're looking for

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in business, supply chain, engineering, or energy.
  • Alternatively, must have 10+ years of experience in business, supply chain, engineering, or energy.
  • Requires 5+ years of experience in global supply chain, procurement, or commodity management for cooling systems, HVAC, mechanical infrastructure, or industrial fluid systems.
  • Must possess a deep technical understanding of datacenter cooling technologies, piping/valve systems, and liquid cooling architectures.
  • Proven track record managing sourcing for capital equipment and consumables in hyperscale, data center, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth technology or infrastructure companies with aggressive scaling demands.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support supplier factories and equipment testing.
