Key competencies include technical review of integrated building systems, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues during construction and startup activities.

What you'll do

Lead the Owner's Design Engineering organization for developer-led, GW-scale infrastructure projects.
Serve as the primary engineering authority for third-party facility designs throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and enforce standardized engineering review processes, technical acceptance criteria, and sign-off procedures.
Validate that all infrastructure designs comply with OCI's Basis of Design, safety standards, and operational requirements.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, construction concerns, and design deficiencies early in the development process.
Provide engineering oversight during construction to resolve field issues, RFIs, and proposed design modifications.
Oversee commissioning activities to ensure systems meet performance expectations before operational turnover.
Establish engineering metrics to measure design quality, compliance, and technical performance across the portfolio.

What we're looking for

15+ years of experience in mission-critical facility engineering, hyperscale data center design, or critical infrastructure development.
7+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations or large infrastructure engineering programs.
Extensive experience reviewing and validating third-party engineering designs for complex infrastructure projects.
Deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and integrated building systems.
Experience working with developers, engineering consultants, EPC firms, and contractor-led design organizations.
Strong understanding of design reviews, engineering standards, commissioning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Proven ability to influence engineering decisions across organizations without direct design ownership.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering is preferred.
