What you'll do

Design and own the phased array architecture from antenna elements through digital beamforming backends.
Translate high-level service requirements into technical payload specifications considering thermal, power, and mechanical constraints.
Define signal integrity requirements for high-speed serial interconnects based on SerDes technology selection.
Conduct trade studies for RF front-end and transmit chain linearization techniques like DPD and CFR.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture meets 5G NR and non-terrestrial network standards.
Develop test plans in coordination with the verification team to validate system requirements.
Evaluate emerging technologies to develop the architectural roadmap for future satellite generations.
Perform hands-on production support, lab debugging, and on-call troubleshooting for live satellites.

What we're looking for

Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
7+ years of experience designing 3GPP-based wireless communication systems for terrestrial or satellite networks.
Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, and RF system analysis.
Experience in phased array design principles, including beamforming, beam steering, and antenna system integration.
Experience developing link and system level simulators using MATLAB, Python, or C++.
Experience with RF measurement equipment such as power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics (preferred); 5+ years of space industry experience; 5G NR/NTN knowledge (preferred).
