What you'll do

Lead the adoption and deployment of Rust idioms, design patterns, and tooling across multiple product lines.
Manage the integration and conversion of legacy C/C++ software into the Rust programming language.
Provide architectural guidance and best practices for memory-safe usage of Rust in mission-critical systems.
Translate complex requirements into maintainable software solutions for Integrated Systems & Encryption programs.
Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation to support the development lifecycle.
Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with a multi-discipline team.
Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects within the codebase.
Utilize modeling tools and equipment to conduct experimental tests and evaluate system performance results.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, a graduate degree with 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
At least 1 year of experience developing Rust software for production systems with a deep understanding of the language.
At least 2 years of experience with C/C++ development and object-oriented design.
Experience converting legacy C/C++ code to Rust (preferred).
Experience with Information Assurance, cryptography, or NSA Type 1 certification (preferred).
Experience developing software for Linux systems or developing software libraries (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
