What you'll do

Lead the adoption of Rust and associated design patterns across multiple product lines.
Manage the integration and conversion of legacy C/C++ software into Rust.
Provide architectural guidance and best practices for memory-safe usage of Rust in embedded systems.
Translate complex requirements into maintainable software solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers.
Develop, test, and debug software for real-time operating systems like VxWorks, Linux, and Integrity.
Conduct root cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues independently or with a team.
Create software test plans, procedures, and relevant technical documentation.
Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair software defects.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, a graduate degree with 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
At least 1 year of experience developing Rust software for production systems with a deep understanding of the language.
Experience with C/C++ development and object-oriented design.
Experience with the development of embedded systems.
Ability to travel more than 30% to other L3Harris locations.
Experience converting C/C++ code to Rust (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
