What you'll do

Lead the adoption and deployment of Rust, including design patterns and tooling, across multiple product lines.
Develop embedded software applications using Rust, C/C++, and Python for real-time operating systems.
Manage the integration or conversion of legacy C/C++ software into Rust.
Translate requirements into working, maintainable solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers.
Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to formal testing.
Investigate root causes of complex technical issues and implement solutions independently or with a team.
Develop software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.
Evaluate interfaces between hardware and software to meet operational performance requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience, Graduate Degree and 2 years of related experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
At least 1 year of experience developing Rust software for production systems with a deep understanding of the language.
Experience with C/C++ development and object-oriented design.
Experience with the development of embedded systems.
Ability to travel more than 30% of the time to other L3Harris locations.
Experience converting C/C++ code to Rust (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
