Sourcing Specialist

What you'll do

• Formulate strategic sourcing plans to identify new suppliers, optimize costs, and ensure supply continuity based on market trends.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on technical capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
• Analyze supplier operations to assess equipment and capacity for rapid product development and long-term production.
• Develop and manage supplier scorecards to track performance metrics and report progress to senior management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive "make vs. buy" decisions and ensure designs are compatible with supply plans.
• Execute RFI/RFP processes, conduct contract negotiations, and manage ongoing contract terms including pricing and liability.
• Coordinate with quality organizations to identify causes of rejected materials and implement corrective actions.
• Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate master data within the MRP system to ensure timely delivery.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee for ITAR compliance.
• 2+ years of professional experience in technical sourcing, procurement, or planning (preferred).
• Experience reading drawings and blueprints (preferred).
• Technical knowledge in a specific commodity such as composites, machining, or avionics (preferred).
• Experience sourcing from a global supply base using various contractual models (preferred).
• Proven success on cross-functional new product introduction projects, cost modeling, and negotiation (preferred).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree.
