The Software Engineering LMTS joins the Monitoring Cloud team to architect, implement, and operate monitoring and analytic services within a public cloud environment. This role involves building and owning distributed services for the entire telemetry stack, including metrics, logs, traces, and events. You will design and deploy features to enhance observability, manage service ownership by proactively addressing incidents, and collaborate with product leadership to evolve the feature roadmap. What you'll do

Design, develop, and deploy features to enhance observability services for internal teams.
Monitor owned services and take proactive actions to resolve incidents.
Engage with customers to understand requirements and address issues in a timely manner.
Contribute to release planning and the evolution of the feature roadmap with leadership.
Automate manual procedures and move code to configuration to reduce engineering toil.
Present work at tech talks, cloud demos, and engineering blogs to gather feedback.

What we're looking for

B.S/M.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Experience building highly scalable, available, and real-time data management services.
Experience building server-side Java or equivalent applications for a Linux/UNIX environment.
Experience in Python, Perl, Ruby, Go, or Scala.
Experience with time series DBs, metric collection frameworks, message buses, and data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, OpenTSDB, ElasticSearch, or Splunk.
Experience using SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as Oracle or HBase.
Good understanding of AWS technologies and operations.
Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, Docker, Helios, or Fleet (preferred); expertise in open source technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Airflow (preferred).
