What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain cross-region continuity workflows and orchestration systems for site-switch and disaster recovery.
  • Develop validation frameworks and observability tooling to monitor real-time system readiness and telemetry.
  • Partner with service-owning teams to define cross-system continuity contracts and integration boundaries.
  • Replace manual operational steps with automated "workflow-as-code" solutions.
  • Build production-quality services using backend languages like Java, Go, or Python.
  • Create clear runbooks, alerting systems, and deployment patterns for SRE and DevOps teams to operate.
  • Identify and eliminate manual processes by documenting risks and defining success signals.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, or platform reliability engineering.
  • Proven experience building workflow orchestration, automation pipelines, or control-plane systems at scale.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one systems or backend language such as Java, Go, or Python.
  • Experience with observability tooling, telemetry design, and building operational dashboards.
  • Familiarity with distributed storage systems like SDB, HBase, ZooKeeper, or BookKeeper.
  • Experience with chaos engineering, fault injection, or large-scale resilience testing programs.
  • Prior experience contributing to RTO/RPO programs, disaster recovery automation, or business continuity engineering for Tier-1 services.
  • Understanding of multi-region cell architectures and cross-region dependency management.
