Software Engineering LMTS

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement critical functionality for telemetry agents and instrumentation libraries.
• Instrument, collect, transform, and export logs, metrics, traces, and events across Kubernetes and LLM services.
• Build and operate distributed services that ensure 99.99% reliability in production environments.
• Manage agent footprint, host impact, and safe rollouts across a large-scale fleet of millions of hosts.
• Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using Go, Java, or Python in a Linux/UNIX environment.
• Operate workloads such as DaemonSets or sidecars in production using containers and Kubernetes.
• Present technical work and project updates to peers, leadership, and broader engineering groups.
• Write understandable, testable code while applying engineering best practices to all software deliverables.

What we're looking for

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building highly scalable, available, and real-time data management or data collection services.
• Deep understanding and experience building services on the public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Strong experience developing services/software in a Linux/UNIX environment using Go, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), including operating workloads such as DaemonSets or sidecars in production.
• Experience building and operating services while ensuring 99.99% reliability in production.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, observability signals, or low-level instrumentation like eBPF (preferred).
