TL;DR · Silicon Validation Software Engineer, GPU IP Validation and Integration

As a Silicon Validation Software Engineer - GPU IP Validation and Integration, you will join the Silicon Technologies group to help design and manufacture next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips. You will write shaders to stress the GPU and create high bandwidth traffic to and from the memory subsystem. Your daily responsibilities include writing tests that exercise the interaction between the GPU and different IP blocks, using driver and firmware APIs to compile shaders, and debugging SoC software and hardware issues. You will utilize C/C++, Python, GNU Make, OpenGL, and CUDA to implement ML/LLM workloads for GPU characterization. The role requires a deep understanding of GPU architecture, memory hierarchies, compute systems, and operating systems to perform system level validation of the display pipeline.

What you'll do

  • Write shaders to stress the GPU and generate high bandwidth traffic to the memory subsystem.
  • Develop tests that stress the GPU pipeline and exercise interactions between the GPU and other SoC IP blocks.
  • Use driver and firmware APIs to compile shaders and move data using GPU threads and SIMD groups.
  • Debug SoC software and hardware issues during system-level validation.
  • Implement and run ML and LLM workloads for GPU characterization.
  • Integrate graphics validation software into the system-level test environment.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python and GNU Make (preferred).
  • Experience with Graphics, OpenGL, and CUDA (preferred).
  • Experience with image processing, memory hierarchies, and compilers (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of compute systems, operating systems, and computer architecture (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in SoC system level validation and debugging of SoC software and hardware issues (preferred).
  • Ability to implement and run ML/LLM workloads for GPU characterization (preferred).
