TL;DR · Silicon Validation Software Engineer, GPU IP Validation and Integration

As a Silicon Validation Software Engineer- GPU IP Validation and Integration, you will join the Silicon Technologies group to develop graphics validation software and integrate it into system level test environments. You will write shaders to stress the GPU and create high bandwidth traffic for the memory subsystem while utilizing driver and firmware APIs to compile shaders and prime operations using GPU threads and SIMD groups. The role involves debugging SoC software and hardware issues, performing system level validation, and exercising interactions between the GPU and various IP blocks on the SoC. You will utilize C/C++, Python, and GNU Make while applying knowledge of OpenGL, CUDA, and graphics theory. Key technical areas include memory hierarchies, compiler experience, image processing, and implementing ML/LLM workloads for GPU characterization within complex system-on-chip architectures.

What you'll do

  • Write shaders to stress the GPU and generate high bandwidth traffic for the memory subsystem.
  • Develop tests that exercise the interaction between the GPU and various SoC IP blocks.
  • Use driver and firmware APIs to compile shaders and move data using GPU threads and SIMD groups.
  • Perform system-level validation to identify and debug SoC software and hardware issues.
  • Implement and run ML/LLM workloads for GPU characterization.
  • Develop graphics validation software and integrate it into a system-level test environment.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Graphics, OpenGL, and CUDA (preferred).
  • Understanding of GPU pipeline, graphics theory, system architecture, and SoC architectures (preferred).
  • Experience with image processing, memory hierarchies, and compilers (preferred).
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python and GNU Make (preferred).
  • Knowledge of compute systems, operating systems, computer architecture, and SoC system level validation (preferred).
