TL;DR · Silicon Validation Software Engineer, GPU IP Validation and Integration

As a Silicon Validation Software Engineer- GPU IP Validation and Integration, you will join the Silicon Technologies group to develop graphics validation software and integrate it into system level test environments. Your primary responsibilities include writing shaders to stress the GPU and memory subsystem, applying deep GPU architecture knowledge to test pipeline interactions between various SoC IP blocks, and using driver and firmware APIs to compile shaders and move data via GPU threads or SIMD groups. You will debug SoC software and hardware issues while performing system level validation. Required skills include C/C++, Python, and GNU Make, with experience in OpenGL, CUDA, and image processing. You must understand GPU memory hierarchies, compute systems, and operating systems to characterize ML/LLM workloads and validate high-performance, power-efficient processor designs.

What you'll do

  • Write shaders to stress the GPU and generate high bandwidth traffic to the memory subsystem.
  • Develop tests that stress the GPU pipeline and exercise interactions between the GPU and other SoC IP blocks.
  • Use driver and firmware APIs to compile shaders and move data using GPU threads and SIMD groups.
  • Debug SoC software and hardware issues during system-level validation.
  • Implement and run ML/LLM workloads for GPU characterization.
  • Integrate graphics validation software into system-level test environments.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or a related field.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills (preferred).
  • Proficient in Python and GNU Make (preferred).
  • Experienced with Graphics, OpenGL, and CUDA (preferred).
  • Understanding of GPU architecture, graphics theory, and memory hierarchies (preferred).
  • Experience with image processing, compilers, and ML/LLM workloads for GPU characterization (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of SoC system level validation and debugging of software and hardware issues (preferred).
