The ServiceNow Platform Owner, Director leads the Service Platform & Observability team to manage enterprise capabilities including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and workflow automation. The role requires expert proficiency in ServiceNow architecture, JavaScript, REST/SOAP integrations, and ITIL processes. Define and execute the multi-year technical strategy, roadmap, and architectural direction for the enterprise ServiceNow platform.
Lead and develop a global team of engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure high standards of technical excellence.
Establish engineering standards including scalable design patterns, scripting protocols, and integration frameworks for the platform.
Integrate AI-first capabilities such as Now Assist, generative AI workflows, and predictive analytics into the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Enforce platform governance, including CMDB integrity, change control, and compliance with regulatory frameworks like DORA.
Manage integrations between ServiceNow and critical enterprise systems like Splunk, Grafana, PagerDuty, and Azure DevOps.
Oversee the platform's financial posture by tracking costs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring return on investment.
Monitor platform performance metrics, including availability, incident trends, and Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).
What we're looking for
Must have 15+ years of technology experience and at least 10 years of hands-on ServiceNow expertise in architecture, development, and platform ownership.
Must possess expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow architecture, scripting (JavaScript, GlideRecord, REST/SOAP), workflow design, CMDB/CSDM, and security controls.
Must have hands-on experience with AI and automation on the ServiceNow platform, including Now Assist and machine learning integrations.
Must demonstrate ability to lead and manage large, geographically distributed teams of engineers, developers, and analysts.
Must be able to define enterprise platform strategy, roadmap ownership, and governance in a complex, regulated environment.
Must have deep knowledge of ITIL processes and experience integrating ServiceNow with tools like Splunk, Grafana, PagerDuty, and Azure DevOps.
Must possess financial acumen for managing budgets, vendor relationships, and cost optimization programs.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required; CIS, CTA, or CMA certifications are preferred.
