SerDes Circuit Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Design high-performance and high-speed AMS circuits for SerDes PHY, including Rx, CDR, Tx, and clock generation.
• Evaluate different circuit topologies to optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) for specific product requirements.
• Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to define block-level specifications and mixed-signal implementations.
• Develop behavioral models and IP views that meet strict quality standards for system-on-chip integration.
• Implement advanced equalization techniques such as CTLE and DFE for 100+ Gbps NRZ and PAM applications.
• Perform circuit modeling and performance evaluation using tools like SystemVerilog, Matlab, Python, or VerilogAMS.
• Conduct lab testing, debugging, and data analysis to validate circuit performance.
• Supervise layout and oversee the IC development process from initial definition to high-volume production.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Deep understanding of analog mixed-signal design with experience in high-speed serial links (preferred).
• Experience designing circuit blocks including Bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, switched-cap circuits, ADCs, DACs, Oscillators, and Filters (preferred).
• Understanding of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power, and low-noise techniques (preferred).
• Experience with digitally assisted analog design concepts such as background calibrations and LMS based adaptive loops (preferred).
• Proven track record working with system/architecture teams for high-speed IO in 100+ Gbps NRZ and PAM applications (preferred).
• Experience with high-speed digital circuits, Tx/Rx equalization techniques, and advanced CMOS FinFET technology (preferred).
• Proficiency in circuit modeling (SystemVerilog, Matlab, Python), lab testing, and scripting for automation (preferred).
