Senior Solutions Architect

What you'll do

• Conduct technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof of value activities to confirm technical fit for customers.
• Manage the full technical evaluation process including solution design, workshop facilitation, and preparation of materials for tenders and audits.
• Develop end-to-end technical strategies for assigned accounts to expand platform adoption and achieve multi-year transformation goals.
• Advise practitioners and business leaders on modern software development, security, cloud, and DevSecOps practices.
• Perform competitive analysis to highlight GitLab’s differentiated value in the AI and DevSecOps market.
• Relay customer feedback and field insights to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to influence product roadmaps.
• Mentor other Solutions Architects and contribute to team learning initiatives and technical documentation.

What we're looking for

• Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles involving solution design and adoption planning.
• Ability to solve complex customer issues including integration challenges and cross-functional technical scenarios.
• Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, security, and cloud concepts.
• Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar source code management, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
• Experience facilitating workshops, leading proofs of concept or value, and contributing to technical assessments or tender responses.
• Communication skills to adapt technical and business messages for practitioners, leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach to listen, challenge constructively, and advocate for requirements.
• Interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and applying experience to deepen expertise in GitLab, AI, and DevSecOps.
