Principal Technical Program Manager

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end technical programs across product, engineering, data, and security teams from initial scope through launch.
• Translate strategic visions into actionable roadmaps and executable plans for executive leaders and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate distributed teams across time zones using asynchronous communication to provide structure and status updates.
• Develop comprehensive program plans to identify and mitigate risks while balancing speed, quality, and customer impact.
• Manage the GitLab Duo Agent Platform lifecycle, including customer onboarding, support models, and billing integration.
• Drive infrastructure modernization, scalability programs, and security initiatives to maintain DevSecOps standards.
• Partner with customer success teams to refine operational workflows and communication plans.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience leading technical program initiatives in product, engineering, data, or security environments.
• Demonstrated ability to define strategy and create clarity within extreme ambiguity.
• Strong background in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps technology companies.
• Proven experience influencing and driving impact at a division and company-wide scale.
• Excellence in cross-functional leadership with experience engaging effectively with senior and C-level stakeholders.
• Outstanding communication skills, including asynchronous collaboration and executive reporting.
• Track record of success in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving technical requirements.
• Proven experience leading complex reliability programs across multiple engineering organizations.
