Senior Solutions Architect - Director joins the Compliance Risk, Enterprise Change and TB&E Risk Technology team to provide architectural vision and technical designs for enterprise-level systems. This leader will engage over twenty application teams to drive functional strategy, develop long-term architectural roadmaps, and create working prototypes that align with corporate blueprints. The role involves managing a functional area including people, budget, and planning while ensuring all solutions meet regulatory objectives and SDLC policies. Candidates must possess expertise in Java, Microservices, Containerization, RDBMS, Big Data, Cloud, and UI/UX technologies within an Agile framework. The position addresses complex technical challenges within the financial services sector, specifically focusing on risk and compliance technology environments. Specialized knowledge in cloud-native architectures and Agentic AI design patterns is highly beneficial for solving problems related to automated risk management and infrastructure integrity.
Develop and maintain a long-term architectural strategy and vision for all enterprise IT systems.
Create working prototypes and technical designs that align with enterprise blueprints and regulatory objectives.
Lead the functional strategy and provide architectural guidance to over 20 application teams.
Present regular architectural and strategic reviews to senior management and business leaders.
Interface with vendors to assess technology and guide their product roadmaps based on firm requirements.
Manage a functional area including personnel management, budget planning, and performance evaluations.
Ensure all technical solutions comply with SDLC policies, risk controls, and applicable regulations.
What we're looking for
15+ years of relevant technology experience, including significant experience in an architectural or senior leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of modern tech stacks including Java, Microservices, Containerization, RDBMS, Big Data, Cloud, and UI/UX technologies.
Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban tools and ceremonies.
Strong knowledge of Compliance, Risk, and Controls concepts within financial services.
Demonstrated leadership skills to manage people, budgets, and team development.
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field (preferably Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
Master's degree (preferred).
Experience designing cloud-native architectures for enterprise risk or compliance environments (preferred); familiarity with Agentic AI design patterns (preferred).
