Director of Technology Architect for Intraday Liquidity and Cash Management leads the design and development of a critical platform situated at the intersection of engineering ambition and real-world financial impact. This role involves managing a multi-year technical roadmap, building a global engineering organization, and delivering AI-first, cloud-native systems across multiple geographies and regulatory environments. The individual will lead teams of business analysts, data analysts, and solution architects to provide architectural governance, evaluate functional requirements, and develop front-to-back system architectures to reduce fragmentation and automate controls. Key responsibilities include identifying problem causality, ensuring compliance with firm-mandated controls, and managing technical assessments. The role requires deep expertise in cash management, intraday liquidity, payments, and reporting within the financial services sector, utilizing data structures and standard delivery methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Kanban to solve complex multi-dimensional business problems.
Lead the design and development of a global, cloud-native Cash & Intraday Liquidity Management platform.
Manage a multi-year technical roadmap for high-availability systems across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.
Recruit, build, and manage a high-performing team of business analysts, data analysts, and solution architects.
Develop solution design options for enterprise-wide initiatives by evaluating "art of the possible" scenarios and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
Define and maintain cohesive front-to-back system architecture to reduce fragmentation and automate manual controls.
Lead the architecture governance process, including review boards, technology assessments, and adherence to core design principles.
Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders regarding firm-mandated controls and compliance initiatives.
Evaluate and test architectural designs to ensure they meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
What we're looking for
Degree or postgraduate degree, preferably in computer science, computer engineering, or business/management.
15+ years of experience in an engineering and architectural role in Cash Management, Intra-day Liquidity, Payments, and reporting within Financial Services.
12+ years of experience leading teams to deliver large-scale enterprise architecture initiatives within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of banking systems, core banking, data platforms, market infrastructure providers, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience working on large technology projects using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
Prior experience in Cash/Intraday Liquidity management and Payments (preferred).
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities, and related reporting to identify best practices.
Ability to build and manage high-performing teams of business analysts, data analysts, and solution architects.
