As a Senior Solution Engineer - Cloud & AI Data Platform within the Innovative Data Platform team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for commercial customers. You will utilize a specialized technology stack including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview Data Governance, SQL DB, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL, while maintaining knowledge of on-prem solutions like Teradata, Netezza, Exadata, and Hadoop. The role focuses on solving complex challenges in the era of AI by helping customers leverage IaaS and PaaS services to build and manage scalable data systems.

What you'll do

Drive technical sales using demos and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to influence solution design and production deployments.
Lead hands-on engagements including hackathons and architecture workshops to accelerate customer adoption of cloud platforms.
Design secure and scalable architectures in collaboration with platform leads and engineering teams.
Resolve technical blockers and objections by providing feedback to engineering teams to improve products.
Guide customers through the migration of database and analytics workloads into their deployment workflows.
Provide thought leadership within cloud Database and Analytics communities and customer forums.
Maintain deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview, and various Azure database services.

What we're looking for

Candidates must have a Master's degree with 3+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
Preferred: 6+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, solution architecture, or practice development.
Preferred: 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles.
Preferred: 4+ years of experience with cloud/hybrid infrastructure, architecture designs, and migrations.
Preferred: Knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, and SQL, along with technical certifications in Cloud or security.
