The Senior Software Engineer, NPI and Release joins the Imaging Software Engineering team to enable the successful introduction, release, and manufacture of software-enabled life science instruments. This senior individual-contributor role involves developing and maintaining shared deployment, licensing, installation, and manufacturing-support systems while coordinating software readiness across product development, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Service, and Supply Chain. Key responsibilities include owning the software Manufacturing Readiness Review process, managing release candidates, and building installers, launchers, and configuration utilities. The role requires proficiency in Python, C#, TypeScript, and Angular, alongside experience with TeamCity, PyInstaller, PowerShell, and ProGet/UPack. The position addresses the technical challenges of software-hardware integration, specifically managing configuration management, change control, and licensing workflows for laboratory instruments and regulated life science products.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of professional software development, release engineering, DevOps, or software NPI experience.
Strong Python development skills to design, debug, test, and maintain production software.
Experience with application technologies such as C#, TypeScript, or Angular.
Experience building software release pipelines, Windows installers, artifact repositories, and reproducible build processes using tools like TeamCity or PowerShell.
Experience supporting web applications, REST APIs, authentication/licensing workflows, and diagnosing production issues from logs.
Experience applying configuration management, change control, defect management, and risk assessment within a structured product-development or quality system.
Experience in scientific instruments, regulated products, or software NPI and manufacturing transfer (preferred).
