What you'll do

Design, build, test, deploy, and operate Java-based cloud services and RESTful APIs.
Manage containerized workloads running on Kubernetes, including Docker image creation and networking.
Own well-scoped features from initial design through production implementation and operational readiness.
Use AI-assisted development tools like Codex and GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and troubleshooting.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
Improve service reliability through automation, monitoring, logging, and operational reviews.
Create reusable prompts and workflows to automate software engineering tasks.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale software systems.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong proficiency in Java is preferred; proficiency in Python, Go, C/C++, or C# is also considered.
Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools like Codex, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity.
Ability to create reusable prompts, workflows, tools, or AI skills for software engineering tasks.
Strong background in Linux systems and containerized service development including Docker, Kubernetes, networking, and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to build and debug RESTful APIs over HTTPS with knowledge of authentication, retries, and timeouts.
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, service observability, and cloud infrastructure.
