The Senior Data Scientist, Diagnostics Platform supports the Diagnostics Platform by contributing to the strategy, development, and operationalization of large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, and image AI solutions. In this role, you will help build multimodal datasets, develop production-grade models, contribute to RAG pipelines and agent workflows, and integrate insights into products, clinical, regulatory, and post-market evidence programs. The role works cross-functionally with clinical, R&D, regulatory/quality, medical affairs, IT/security, and Operating Companies to deliver measurable patients and business impact.
This position reports to the Director, Data Science and is part of the Diagnostics Platform and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead assay development optimization and R&D process acceleration using advanced statistical and ML methods (e.g. Bayesian optimization).
- Conduct RWE analytics of EHR/claims/registries/device telemetry to drive biomarker discovery and development, and support dataset curation across text, tabular, device logs, lab results, and EHR/claims.
- Implement reliable and reproducible AI frameworks that improve diagnostic performance analytics, workflow efficiency, labeling/claims support, HEOR/RWE insights, image processing, and customer experience.
- Contribute to the development of solutions on Azure, Snowflake/Databricks, vector databases, and enterprise content platforms (SharePoint, Confluence).
- Translate analyses into clear, concise narratives, dashboards, and cross‑functional updates, and collaborate with clinical, regulatory, R&D, IT, and academic partners as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
- 3+ years of combined industry and/or postdoctoral research experience in MedTech, diagnostics, biopharma, or applied AI domains.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python/R and modern ML frameworks; familiarity with DoE (design of experiments), Bayesian optimization, causal, survival, and longitudinal methods.
- Experience working with RWE/RWD datasets (EHR, claims, registries, device logs).

The Staff Automation Controls Engineer is a technical contributor responsible for the architecture, design, development, validation, and support of complex automation and control systems used in high‑volume manufacturing environments. - PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell RS Logix-5000, FactoryTalk), Vision Systems (Cognex Designer software including In-Sight, VisionPro deep learning), communication protocols (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, IO-Link, OPC UA etc), Safety devices like GuardLogix, Safety curtains and scanners, safety IO blocks etc.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment, Fanuc Robots, VFDs and servo controllers, servo controls, and various standard and safety IO modules, capable of creating, maintaining and implementing standards for the controls teams.
- Ability to develop PLC software aligned with IEC 61131‑3 to promote maintainability, portability, and consistent review practices.
- Strong background in software validation processes, equipment qualification, and generating detailed documentation for Controls Systems (PLC, HMIs, Vision systems Motion Controllers etc.) and testing results.

The Senior Manager, Systems & Sustaining Engineering leads the combined systems engineering, sustaining engineering, and airworthiness functions, including specialty analysis (e.g., CFD and stress analysis), reliability, and qualification test support. This role is responsible for supporting regulatory audits and maintaining compliance to Part 21 DOA and FAA PMA.
This role translates business and engineering strategies into actionable engineering priorities, balancing systems engineering needs with the daily operational realities of sustaining product health. It plays a critical role in factory support, obsolescence mitigation, PPV and VAVE improvement, issue resolution, and maintaining lifecycle continuity for legacy products. The Automation Engineer (DCS) role will support Cytiva’s new plant for manufacturing of chromatography resins located in Muskegon, MI. This exciting role will lead start-up and establishment of distributed control systems (DCS) on the site to support all parts of manufacturing and building management. The Automation Engineer II is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining automated liquid handling equipment, processes and protocols to support an oligonucleotide synthesis platform and associated processing workflows.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Emerging Technologies and is part of Emerging Technologies, Platform Development group located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be a full-time, on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Drive the design, development, and optimization of automated liquid handling workflows for processing of oligonucleotides, including PCR and other enzymatic reactions, purification and QC sample preparation.

Collaborate cross-functionally with platform development engineers and scientists and operations teams to translate manual or semi‑automated protocols into robust, scalable automated workflows; create and revise SOPs, methods, and supporting documentation as needed.

Lead or support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of automation‑related issues using structured problem‑solving approaches (e.g., 5‑Why, Fishbone), and implement corrective improvements to protocols, scripts, and hardware configurations.

Perform systematic evaluation of liquid handling performance (e.g., accuracy, precision, cross‑contamination); analyze experimental and run data to identify trends, establish acceptance criteria, and support method qualification and technology transfer activities.
The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering, or related technical field with 4+ years of related work experience.

Hands‑on experience developing, programming, and debugging automated liquid handling workflows using Beckman Coulter, Hamilton, Tecan, or similar instrumentation, including familiarity with scripting, method development and risk assessment for automated lab processes.

Experience automating biochemical or molecular biology workflows such as PCR, nucleic acid extraction or purification, dilution/normalization, or QC sample preparation in a laboratory or development environment.
Travel & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Ability to travel 5% time domestically.

Ability to occasionally lift, move or carry equipment up to 20 lbs.

Ability to frequently work in a laboratory environment for extended periods, including interaction with automated instrumentation and biological and chemical reagents.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience designing experiments or automation workflows with scalability in mind, including support for technology transfer from R&D into process development or manufacturing environments.

Experience applying structured continuous improvement tools (e.g., RCA, FMEA, value stream mapping) and working with data systems or LIMS to document methods, analyze performance, and support platform maturation and technology transfer.

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000-125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

Pall Corporation is seeking a creative and results-oriented R&D Director, for Application Technology & Solution Development with a focus on semiconductor process technology, membrane science and device design to join our Global R&D team. This is an excellent career opportunity to take an active role in discovering and developing next-generation porous filters tailored for semiconductor fabrication processes and contributing to our fast-growing microelectronics business segment.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this role sits within the Global R&D organization, and is an on-site position based in Singapore or Courtland, NY.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead Research for primarily the MicroE Business Unit of Pall to deliver strategic growth targets from innovation including Incremental Pipeline Value (IPV) and funnel health
- Support assigned swimlane activities and customer interactions and trials as appropriate in the development and commercialization of new products (NPD) and continuous improvement products (CIP) by defining and deploying device and cleaning strategy aligned with corporate and business unit objectives
- Provide R&D leadership within the group and cross-functionally as needed to drive unique product innovations for filter products targeting semiconductor fabrication processes including wet etch and photolithographic applications
- Provide scientific leadership in filtration/ purification, and effective device design to address customer challenges including safety, compliance, and capability development
- Serve as the principal liaison between Pall R&D and the MicroE Business Unit Leadership Team to identify and prioritize high-value customer problems and translate these into actionable R&D deliverables
- Maintain collaborations with other research and academic entities that enable breakthrough innovation.
- Drive continuous improvement in R&D processes, tools and infrastructure leveraging Danaher Business Systems (DBS) toolbox
- Work with the VP R&D and MicroE BU GM to develop and execute the ASIA strategy around roof-tops in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Pune
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Knowledge of Filter Design, Fluid dynamics, Chemical and Hydromechanics, electrochemistry, and advanced membrane technology.
- Excellent understanding of in-line yield and wafer inspection metrology.

Familiarity with a range of analytical techniques to analyze and quantify very small quantities of organic and inorganic chemical impurities related to on-wafer defects.

Strong interpersonal skills that build positive relationships and influence others, both within business and across organizations. Ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams), strong listening skills, able to present complex or new insights with clarity and simplicity.
Qualifications – Required
- Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or related field required with at least 10 years of relevant R&D and/or product development experience preferred. Master’s degree with significant experience in the application area can be considered in lieu of the Ph.D. degree
- Regarded as a technical expert within the semiconductor process development community.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global teams and influence senior stakeholder with a demonstrated track record of commercial success with high impact technical developments.
