What you'll do

Design and optimize remote desktop experiences for high fidelity and ultra-low latency across diverse networks.
Collaborate on RDP protocol enhancements to improve throughput and ensure adaptive streaming.
Develop and maintain advanced media pipelines using modern codecs for real-time video compression and decoding.
Monitor service health and respond to incidents to maintain a live site mindset.
Drive cross-platform integration between Windows clients, virtualized environments, and cloud-hosted desktops.
Analyze customer feedback and telemetry to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability of remote desktop features.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Equivalent experience to the required degree and years of experience.
Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screenings, including a Microsoft Cloud background check every two years.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C or C++ (preferred).
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C or C++ (preferred).
Experience in Windows 2D or 3D graphics (preferred).
Experience in Desktop Remoting and/or video codecs such as h.264 or h.265 (preferred).
Familiarity with Windows DirectX, Windows Internals, Windows OS concepts, and development experience with Azure Cloud Services (preferred).
