Senior Sales Engineer

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and prospects throughout the pre-sales process.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations that address current cyber threats and specific customer needs.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with prospect security staff to identify requirements.
• Plan, execute, and manage Proof-of-Concept (POC) and Production Evaluations.
• Design and champion complex people-centric security solutions using the full Proofpoint portfolio.
• Provide real-world customer feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert on email security, threat response, and data loss prevention.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of hands-on technical experience as a Sales/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer, or senior product support.
• Experience in Enterprise or Cloud Security, including cloud/SaaS platforms, messaging, data, network, endpoint, NOC/SOC, or MSP-related cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining customer relationships through in-person meetings.
• History of conducting large-scale assessments and evaluations while managing expectations and complex systems.
• Ability to present to both technical staff and C-suite executives.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• CISSP or other relevant cybersecurity and/or cloud security certifications (preferred).
• Experience with Directory Services, email authentication, networking protocols, or frameworks like MITRE and NIST (preferred).
