The Senior Reliability Engineer, Data Center Products joins the Reliability Development Engineering team to support reliability qualification and validation for next-generation data center products, including AI accelerators, compute modules, servers, and rack-scale systems. This individual will develop and execute reliability plans involving environmental, mechanical, and life testing while coordinating activities across design, product engineering, test engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing teams. The role involves performing failure analysis reviews to determine root causes, applying statistical techniques for failure rate predictions, and contributing to design-for-reliability initiatives. Key technical skills include knowledge of JEDEC, IEC, or Telcordia standards; familiarity with testing methods like HTOL, HAST, THB, and temperature cycling; and proficiency in tools such as JMP, ReliaSoft, or Python. The position focuses on ensuring robust performance for semiconductor, package, board-level, and system-level hardware components.
Develop and execute reliability qualification plans including environmental, mechanical, and life testing for data center products.
Analyze qualification and reliability data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Perform failure analysis reviews to determine root causes and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
Define reliability requirements, test conditions, and success criteria for new products and technologies.
Apply statistical techniques to assess product reliability, process capability, and failure rate predictions.
Contribute to design-for-reliability (DfR) activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
Prepare technical reports and present qualification status and recommendations to project teams and management.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of reliability engineering experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of reliability engineering experience.
PhD in Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience with reliability qualification methodologies and industry standards such as JEDEC, IEC, Telcordia, or similar (preferred).
Familiarity with specific reliability testing like HTOL, HAST, THB, temperature cycling, mechanical shock, vibration, ESD, latch-up, or package qualification (preferred).
Experience with semiconductor, package, board-level, system-level, or data center hardware products (preferred).
Experience with reliability software tools, data analytics tools, or scripting languages such as JMP, ReliaSoft, Python, or equivalent (preferred).
Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in reliability, product, quality, or test engineering (preferred).
