Senior Project Engineer, Mega Projects and M&A Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead design and engineering activities for utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects through all lifecycle phases.
• Perform technical due diligence, risk assessments, and project evaluations for M&A opportunities.
• Develop engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and performance models using tools like PVsyst and AutoCAD.
• Manage engineering consultants and EPC contractors to produce construction drawings and procurement documents.
• Value engineer system designs to maximize reliability while reducing overall project costs.
• Provide technical support during construction by responding to RFIs, performing QA/QC checks, and developing punchlists.
• Establish engineering standards, define design roadmaps, and mentor junior engineers on emerging technologies.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide technical inputs for RFP responses and permitting applications.

What we're looking for

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Proficiency in PV system design, including 1-line and 3-line diagrams, NEC requirements, and equipment selection.
• Experience with medium voltage collector system design.
• Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• 5+ years of professional experience in solar PV system design, development, construction, and analysis (preferred).
• Graduate degree, PE license, PMP certification, or NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification (preferred).
• Work authorization.
