What you'll do

Manage and execute the Engineering Work Plan for multi-disciplinary generation projects.
Lead the Engineering Design Review process and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
Coordinate design efforts between internal engineering teams, external consultants, and equipment manufacturers.
Provide technical leadership and oversight during construction and project closeout activities.
Schedule and lead regular engineering meetings with project stakeholders and partners.
Deliver regular progress updates on engineering milestones to the project team.
Resolve complex technical problems by analyzing conflicting data and identifying corrective actions.
Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety regulations, and agency procedures.

What we're looking for

Applicants must have an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering or a Master's/PhD with relevant experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology is acceptable if accompanied by a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Candidates must possess 2 to related engineering experience depending on the specific grade level.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred.
Mechanical engineers and mechanical engineering technologists are preferred.
Experience overseeing multi-discipline engineering work is preferred.
Candidates must be able to travel up to 25% outside of Ohio within the AEP footprint.
