What you'll do

Manage and develop comprehensive Engineering Work Plans for multi-disciplinary generation projects.
Lead the Engineering Design Review process and respond to technical Requests for Information (RFIs).
Coordinate design efforts between internal engineering teams, external consultants, OEMs, and EPC contractors.
Provide technical leadership during construction and facilitate project closeout activities.
Deliver regular progress updates on engineering milestones to project stakeholders and management.
Resolve complex technical problems by analyzing conflicting data and identifying corrective actions.
Ensure all work activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and agency procedures.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required (or a Master's/PhD with fewer years of experience).
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology is acceptable if accompanied by a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of related engineering experience for the entry level, or more for senior roles.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred.
Mechanical engineers and mechanical engineering technologists are preferred.
Experience overseeing multi-discipline engineering work is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 25% outside of Ohio within the AEP footprint during the construction phase.
