Senior Specialist, Project Engineering leads day-to-day engineering execution for airborne telemetry, radio frequency, and embedded hardware programs. Working within a structured program environment, the individual coordinates multidisciplinary teams to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance across the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include managing performance within an Earned Value Management System, preparing Estimates to Complete, and coordinating Integrated Master Schedules. The role involves leading major reviews such as PDR, CDR, and TRR while serving as a primary technical interface for customers and suppliers. Candidates will support bid proposals through Work Breakdown Structure development and manage risk mitigation activities. Required expertise includes experience with aerospace, defense, telemetry, sensor processing, or electronic warfare systems. Technical skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ruggedized electronics, communication security, and Type 1 cryptographic equipment.
Lead day-to-day cost, schedule, and technical execution for airborne telemetry and RF hardware programs.
Manage engineering performance metrics and Estimates to Complete within an Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through the product lifecycle from proposal and development to production.
Plan and lead major milestones including SRR, PDR, CDR, and Test Readiness Reviews.
Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and suppliers to resolve execution issues.
Manage project-level risk identification, tracking, and mitigation planning for engineering issues.
Support bids and proposals by developing Work Breakdown Structures and Basis of Estimate inputs.
Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure on-time production transitions.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of engineering experience, a Graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Experience coordinating or leading engineering execution within defined cost, schedule, and technical requirements in a structured program environment.
Experience working in an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) including performance tracking and Estimate to Complete development.
Experience supporting hardware or embedded system development in aerospace, defense, RF, telemetry, sensor processing, or other mission-critical applications.
Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams or Integrated Product Teams across the product development lifecycle.
Ability to obtain and maintain a United States security clearance.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
