TL;DR · Senior Product Development Engineer, Datacenter Boards

As a Senior Product Development Engineer - Datacenter Boards within the Operations NPI team, you will manage module and board NPI for datacenter and HPC products from first-article through mass production ramp. You are responsible for meeting yield targets, quality gates, and on-time delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks. Your daily work involves defining manufacturing test plans, analyzing volume manufacturing data using scripting and analytics tools, and performing root-cause analysis across silicon, PCB, and system layers to drive DFM and DFT improvements. The role requires expertise in server architectures, board design, SMT, high-speed interface validation including PCIe and NVLink, and power integrity analysis. You will utilize Python for manufacturing analytics and test automation while addressing complex hardware challenges within the domain of high-performance computing and AI infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Manage module and board NPI from first-article through mass production ramp for datacenter products.
  • Ensure manufacturing yield targets, quality gates, and on-time delivery schedules are met.
  • Define and optimize manufacturing test plans by balancing coverage, test-time, cost, and yield.
  • Partner with global contract manufacturers to qualify and scale board and system level solutions.
  • Analyze volume manufacturing data using scripting and analytics tools to identify trends and inform decisions.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on failed boards across silicon, PCB, and system layers.
  • Translate failure findings into concrete DFM and DFT improvements for design teams.
  • Report yield trends and improvement roadmaps to leadership regularly.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in product engineering, product development, manufacturing, or validation of PCBs, silicon, or complex systems.
  • Expertise in at least two areas: server/datacenter integration, PCB design and assembly, post-silicon validation, high-speed interface validation, power integrity, or test automation.
  • Proven track record of leading complex GPU or board-level projects to mass production with high quality and yield.
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve multi-disciplinary problems across silicon, board, firmware, and system layers.
  • Understanding of testing strategy economics regarding coverage, test-time, cost, and yield outcomes.
  • Proficiency in communicating complex technical data to both engineering and business audiences.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
