TL;DR · Senior Electrical Product Engineer, Datacenter

As a Senior Electrical Product Engineer - Datacenter, you will join the engineering team to productize new GPU boards for datacenter architectures and GPU-accelerated clusters. You will be responsible for planning processes, defining test requirements, and optimizing production lines to deliver high-quality products while meeting specific cost metrics. Your daily work involves developing diagnostic tests, debugging complex hardware, firmware, and software interactions during boot, and ensuring compliance with DFx requirements for signal integrity. You will collaborate with contract manufacturers to define assembly lines and use volume data analysis to solve yield problems. The role requires expertise in high-speed networks, digital design, signal integrity, timing analysis, and computer architecture. Preferred technical skills include experience with Perl, C/C++, Windows, and Linux to support the development of systems for deep learning and artificial intelligence environments.

What you'll do

  • Develop and debug complex interactions between hardware, firmware, and software during system boot processes.
  • Design and implement diagnostic tests and debug procedures for high-speed networks and signals.
  • Define test requirements and specifications for manufacturing screens to ensure hardware coverage and quality.
  • Optimize production lines in collaboration with contract manufacturers to improve cost and efficiency.
  • Analyze volume data and conduct lab experiments to resolve yield and testing problems.
  • Drive compliance with DFx requirements to ensure robust signal integrity across mechanical and assembly components.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to minimize waste and meet specific test time and DPPM targets.
  • Resolve partner concerns by identifying and fixing gaps in manufacturing coverage.

What we're looking for

  • BS or MS degree in EE/CE or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of meaningful industry experience.
  • Strong EE fundamentals including digital design, signal integrity, statistics, timing analysis, fault analysis, and computer architecture.
  • Experience with high speed networks and signals to develop diagnostic tests and debug procedures.
  • Knowledge of system power-up and handshakes during boot to debug HW, FW, and SW interactions.
  • Ability to ensure compliance to DFx requirements for signal integrity performance.
  • Prior board or system level electrical design experience.
  • Proficiency in Perl, C/C++, Windows, and Linux.
